Its name comes from the fact that it is situated in the valley of a mountain, which gives it its majestic setting. Surrounded by vast nature, there is a lot to sightsee in Vallada: hiking up the mountains to reach the cross of El Penyó or the ruins of a medieval castle, visiting the shrines and chapels around the mountain where there are also natural water springs, or enjoying a traditional rice dish in one of the village restaurants.

Set in the Catarroja area, it is one minute away from the train station that takes you straight into the heart of Valencia city. In just two train stops, you will reach the Estación del Norte, right in the city centre of Valencia.
If what you are looking for is an escape from the city, you can easily access the natural park of the Albufera that is connected to the Catarroja port. Its natural setting is perfect to feel at peace, enjoying the thousands of birds species that call this lake and its surroundings their home. You can appreciate seeing the traditional barracas by the rice fields and marshes. Also enjoy the wide food offering in this area by the sea.
